REQUEST FOR OFFICIAL INFORMATION – RELEASE OF INFORMATION  
 
We refer to your official information request dated 4 April 2022. You requested the following 
information from the Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC): 
 
•  Could I please have a copy of the agreement by which the privately owned hut located on Pigeon 
Island is there by virtue of as well as copies of any correspondence between the owner(s), their 
successors, agents, lawyers, and any other related party, and any member of QLDC staff, elected 
members, or agents of QLDC. 
 
•  Could you also please advise what, if any, money has been paid to QLDC for this hut. 
 
QLDC response 
Please find attached relevant documents with this response covering the above request.  
 
Please note Council has met with the relevant parties and are working on taking back the ownership 
& management of the Hut, following the passing away of Mr Robinson & Mr Douglas.
