Official Information Act request for emails between the Prime Minster and
Cabinet Ministers and several academics
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act),
received on 28 March 2022.
You requested:
“I would like to copies of all emails from and to the following individuals on
all work domain emails such as Auckland University, IMAC, WHO, CDC or
any domain named email which is used for working purpose no matter the
role or title or function performed by the same name.
This request is for all emails between the Prime Minister and all her Cabinet
staff to the following academic individuals:

I believe that the information you have requested is more closely connected to the
functions of the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern. Accordingly, I have decided
under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act to transfer your request to the Prime Minister.

I have also extended the time limits of your request by an additional one working day in
order to make this transfer. The extension was necessary in order to undertake
consultations on the transfer of your request.
The Prime Minister has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer
to make a decision on your request.
