Thank you for your request, received on 15 March 2022 for the following information under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
•  full board meeting minutes for TEC from January 2019 to the February 2022 
On 1 April 2022 we extended the time to respond with a decision to 26 April 2022 to al ow us to carry 
out necessary consultation. 
I can confirm that we hold information to meet your request and will release this to you. 
 
In accordance with the Official Information Act, some information will be withheld in the released 
documents. Redactions will be clearly marked in the documents, with any, or all, of the following 
reasons, as applicable: 
 
•  personal contact details of officials, under section 9(2)(a) – to protect the privacy of natural 
persons, including deceased people, 
•  commercially sensitive information, under section 9(2)(b)(ii) – to protect the commercial 
position of the person who supplied the information, or who is the subject of the 
information, 
•  free and frank advice, under section 9(2)(g)(i) – the free and frank expression of opinions by 
or between or to Ministers of the Crown or officers and employees of any public service 
agency in the course of their duty, 
•  commercially sensitive information, under section 9(2)(i) - to enable a Minister of the Crown 
or any department or organisation holding the information to carry out, without prejudice 
or disadvantage, commercial activities, 
•  confidential information, under section 9(2)(j) – to enable the Crown to negotiate without 
disadvantage or prejudice, 
 
I am satisfied, in terms of section 9(1) of the Act, that the need to withhold the selected information 
is not outweighed by other considerations that render it desirable, in the public interest, to make the

This letter is to convey our decision as required under the Act.  However, we have discovered that 
consultation is taking longer than expected and we anticipate we will be able to provide the 
documents to you by 13 May 2022.
