Request for information 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 9 March 2022, in which you 
asked for information relating to police officers deployed to clear protestors from Parliament 
grounds on 2 March 2022.  
My response to each of your questions can be found below. 
During the New Zealand Police operation on the 2nd March 2022 to clear protestors 
from New Zealand Parliament Grounds and the surrounding areas. 
Please confirm that all police officers present were current serving New Zealand Police 

Officers and there were no Serving Police officers from other Countries involved. 
If Police Officers from other countries were used, what was there specific 
tasks/operations on the 2nd March 2022. 
I can confirm that all police officers involved in the operation on 2 March to clear protestors from 
the grounds of Parliament and surrounding areas were current serving members of New 
Zealand Police.  
No members of foreign police services were deployed in the operation to remove protestors 
from the area surrounding Parliament on 2 March 2022.
