Dear John

Thank you for your email of 1 March 2022 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE)
requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):

I would like to request a list of vacancy (ministerial appointment only, e.g. board member, Lay
member, Trustee etc) that the nomination period has been closed but still under consideration by
the MBIE or relevant Minister.

In your list, can you please included the date that vacancy been advertised, what method you have
used to publicly advertise the position and when the vacancy been closed as well.

Also, I would like to know if you have any future opening in 2022. e.g. the position that will call for
nomination in the year of 2022 or in the process of obtaining Minster approval to start the
recruitment process.

We have interpreted to your request as follows:

1.  Provide a list of all roles, as at 1 March 2022, that Minister’s or the Governor-General make the
appointments to, where the application period was closed and candidate applications were under
consideration, including the opening and closing date for applications.

2.  Provide a list of the vacancies where applications were being sought as at 1 March 2022.

3.  Provide information on any future roles where applications will be sought in 2022, where we have
received ministerial approval as at 1 March 2022.

On 25 March 2022, MBIE extended the timeframe to respond to your request to 29 April 2022.

On 29 April 2022, MBIE advised that it has made a decision to grant your request, and that additional time
was needed to finalise its response.

Please find the information within the scope of each part of your request in Appendices 1, 2 and 3.
