Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 17 February 2022, in
which you asked:

As a New Zealand Taxpayer, I would like to know the interim costs so far that the
protest has cost the NZ taxpayer?
As of 28 February 2022, Police incurred actual costs totalling $0.439 million in relation to
the protest at Parliament. These costs cover expenditure incurred directly in response to
the protest such as accommodation, food supplies, consumables, airfares and vehicles,
venues and helicopter hire costs. It does not include any personnel costs of the staff
assigned to this operation.
