9.  is Worksafe whol y funded by the New Zealand taxpayer? 
10. Budgeted Cost for the year versus Actual - has worksafe managed to come in under budget 
any year?* 
11. Can you also provide comment on if any employees have taken a pay cut through the 
pandemic like a number of private companies? * 
12. What is the growth in employees since the pandemic began in WorkSafe? * 
 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
 
The information you have requested has been prepared in two parts. The first (Part  A) covering 
questions  1  –  7  where information relates to  COVID-19  Compliance.    The  Information you have 
requested is largely publicly available, therefore in line with section 18(d) of the Act, questions 1 – 7 
have been declined as the information requested is or wil  soon be publicly available.  
 
The second (Part B) covering questions, 8 – 12 where the information relates to WorkSafe’s Funding, 
Budget and Employee information. Please find enclosed two documents covering Part A and B of your 
request.
