Official Information Act request 2122-0550 - Delegations under the Electronic Identity 
Verification Act 2012 
Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal 
Affairs (Department) on 1 February 2022.      
You requested – 
1.  A list of all third parties the chief executive has entered agreements with under section 
51(1)(b) of the Electronic Identity Verification Act 2012. 
2.  For each third party (if any), I would like to know what functions, duties, or powers they 
provide (and for which they therefore hold official information), and their contact details, 
including an email address. 
On 2 March 2022, the Department notified you that it would be extending the timeframe for 
response to your request by 10 working days, pursuant to 15A(1)(a) of the Act. This brought the 
final response date for your request to 16 March 2022. 
 
In response to your request, I can now provide you with the fol owing information. 
 
The Chief Executive of the Department of Internal Affairs has not entered into any agreements 
with third parties under section 51(1)(b) of the Electronic Identity Verification Act 2012. 
 
Therefore, I must refuse your request under section 18(e) of the Act; the information requested 
does not exist. 
 
As this information may be of interest to other members of the public, the Department has 
decided to proactively release a copy of this response on the DIA website. Al  requestor data 
including your name and contact details, will be removed prior to release. The released
