Official Information Act request 2122-0550 - Delegations under the Electronic Identity 
Verification Act 2012 
Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal 
Affairs (Department) on 1 February 2022.      
You requested – 
1.  A list of all third parties the chief executive has entered agreements with under section 
51(1)(b) of the Electronic Identity Verification Act 2012. 
2.  For each third party (if any), I would like to know what functions, duties, or powers they 
provide (and for which they therefore hold official information), and their contact details, 
including an email address. 
This letter is to advise that the Department is extending the 20 working day timeframe for 
response to your request pursuant to sections 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as the consultations 
necessary to make a decision in your request cannot reasonably be completed within the 
original time limit. 
 
The response timeframe is being extended by 10 working days. The Department’s decision on 
your request wil  therefore be provided to you as soon as practicably and no later than 16 
March 2022. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
