Official Information Act Request for Vaccination Mandate information  
 
I refer to your Official Information Act request to the Office of the Prime Minister dated 18 January 
2022, subsequently transferred in part to TAS on 10 February, as follows: 
“Can you please provide  
- 
Total number of nurses either resigned or let go due to mandate 
- 
Total number of doctors as above 
- 
Total number of midwives as above” 
 
The following information refers only to staff of District Health Boards.  We do not hold information 
about the wider sector.  
 
As at 31 January 2022, the number of staff in the job categories you have asked about, who had left 
DHBs as a result of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order were: 
 
Nurses: 357 
Doctors: 26 
Midwives: 64
