Thank you for your email of 17 January 2022 requesting information relating to information in 
regards to the Animal Welfare Act. Your request has been considered under the Of icial 
Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
You requested- 
 
I ask if you could kindly provided a list of approved organisation and person that 
appointed under the Act. The date of appointment for all inspectors and cessation 
 
There is one approved organisation pursuant to Section 121 of the Animal Welfare Act, the 
organisation is the SPCA. The appointment of all current inspectors is withheld under section 
9(2)(a)- protect the privacy of natural persons. 
 
MPI is satisfied that in the circumstances of this case, the withholding of the information is 
not outweighed by other considerations which render it desirable in the public interest to 
make the information available.
