Official information request for ECS Grade Distributions 
 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) 
dated 29 November 2021: 
 
“I am requesting the grade distributions of all ECS courses which ran in 
Trimesters 1 and 2 of 2021.” 
 
Please find attached the information you have requested. 
 
Please note, we have provided the data for courses that have had grades entered at as at 3 
December 2021. We are not able to provide information for courses that have not yet had 
grades entered for Trimester 2 as that information does not currently exist in a form that 
can be provided (Section 18(e) of the Act). 
 
Additionally, to avoid identification of individual students' grades we have not supplied 
data for courses with less than 5 students. This information is withheld in accordance 
with Section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the privacy of natural persons. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of the 
decisions made regarding this request. Information about how to make a complaint is
