Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 11 November 
2021, regarding the daily frequency of visitors to prisons by location and the 
frequency of drug contrabands intercepted by Corrections. 
  
Corrections needs to extend the timeframe of our response to your request by 20 
working days, pursuant to section 15A(1)(a) of the OIA, as the request is for a large 
quantity of official information or necessitates a search through a large quantity of 
information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the 
operations of the department. Therefore, you can expect to receive a response to 
your request by 27 January 2022. If you no longer require this information, please let 
us know as soon as possible.
