Re: Sarah Trotman’s conduct 
 
I refer to your email, which we received on 09 December 2021, requesting information about Sarah 
Trotman’s conduct. I apologise that our response has been delayed. 
 
Your request 
 
- Information relating specifically to Sarah Trotman's actions on 16 April 2021 - i.e. what she is alleged 
to have done 
 
- Communications from Sarah Trotman in response to the events on that day and to the staff complaint 
 
Response 
 
In relation to your question concerning the allegations against Sarah Trotman, the request is refused 
on the basis of privacy and obligation of confidence, pursuant to subsections 7(2)(a) and (c) of the 
LGOIMA. 
 
In relation to your request for Sarah Trotman’s response, this is refused on the basis of obligation of 
confidence pursuant to section 7(2)(c) of the LGOIMA. 
 
Decisions pertaining to the release of this information have been made by Rose Leonard, Manager 
Governance Services. 
 
Should you believe Auckland Council has not responded appropriately to your request, you have the 
right by way of complaint, under section 27(3) of the LGOIMA, to apply to the Ombudsman to seek an 
investigation and review of the decision.
