Official Information Act request relating to spend on contractors in 2020
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 9 October
2021. You requested:
“How much was spent on contracts with EY, PWC, Ernst and Young, and Deloitte in
2020?”
On 8 November 2021, I extended your request by 10 days, to allow for time to consult with
relevant staff in the agency. Following this extension, I am now in a position to respond.
You have requested information relating to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
(DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), established on 1
December 2019, is a departmental agency hosted by DPMC and is included in this response.
DPMC and NEMA provide the amount the Department has spent on consultancy services to
the Governance and Administration Select Committee as part of its Annual Review. I note
that this information is published on the Parliament website and is available through the
following link:

Details on the amount the DPMC and NEMA have spent on consultancy services for the first
nine months of the 2020/21 financial year was provided to the Governance and
Administration Select Committee as part of its Estimates Examination for Vote Prime Minister
and Cabinet. I note that this information is published on the Parliament website and is

Therefore, I am refusing your request under section 18(d) of the Act as the information
