[FYI request #16778 email] Tēnā koe Nic
I refer to your request received on 17 September 2021, which has been considered
under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), for the following information:
1. Are you able to supply the number of employees, and;
2. how many (as of 16th Sept 2021) had adopted the use of pronouns into their
email signatures as per Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commissions
guidelines:
https://www.publicservice.govt.nz/
our-work/diversity-and-inclusion/pronoun-use-in-email-signatures/
As of 31 August 2021, Manatū Taonga has 167 employees. Regarding your second
request, we do not capture this information as it up to individual kaimahi as to
whether they adopt the use of pronouns into their email signatures. However, the
Ministry does encourage the use of the pronouns in email signatures, and provides
guidance to kaimahi on our intranet.
If you wish to discuss this decision with us, please feel free to contact
[Ministry for Culture and Heritage request email]. You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
