Thank you for your request of 16 August 2021 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities via the FYI 
website requesting the following information: 
 
Can you provide me the square metre cost to build properties located at 1 & 3 Broadway Ave, 
Timaru? 
 
In March 2021 you requested the details of the square metre size of these properties and the rents 
being achieved from the houses, Kāinga Ora declined your request.  
 
As you have not provided a privacy waiver from our customers, I am again declining your request 
under Section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the privacy of natural persons. I have considered this 
request against your previous requests, and still see no public interest in the release of the 
information.  
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of my decision on your
