Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA):
Request for Information
I refer to your email of 13 August 2021 requesting information on monitoring and
reporting of nitrates in ground and surface water across Canterbury. Your request has
been referred to me to reply.
Environment Canterbury has decided to extend the date of reply for this requested
information under section 14 of the LGOIMA. This request wil now be responded to by
1 October 2021, instead of the originally stated 10 September 2021. The reason for
this extension is the volume of requested information, along with the constraints of
having operated under Alert levels 4 and 3 for the last three weeks.
You wil be aware that if you are not satisfied with this extension, you are able to refer
this matter to the Of ice of the Ombudsman under s27(3) of the LGOIMA.
Please be advised that we now put LGOIMA responses that are in the public interest
onto our website. No personal details of the requester are given, but we do summarise
the essence of the request alongside the response.
