Official Information Act request relating to Cabinet minutes that mention Crypto 
AG 
 
Thank  you  for  your  request  made  under  the  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act), 
received on 26 July 2021. You requested: 
 
“Please  provide  me  with  any  cabinet  minutes  that  mention  Crypto  AG,  or  it's 
alternatives "Thesaurus" or "Rubicon" during the October 2019 to April 2020 time 
period.” 
 
On  23  August  2021,  the  timeframes  for  making  a  decision  on  your  request  were 
extended  to  allow  for  consultations  on  the  transfer  of  your  request.  Following  these 
consultations, I am now ready it respond.  
 
I  believe  that  the  information  you  have  requested  is  more  closely  connected  to  the 
functions of the Minister Responsible for the NZSIS. Accordingly, I have decided under 
section 14(b)(ii) of the Act to transfer your request to the Minister  Responsible for the 
NZSIS. 
 
Hon Andrew Little has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer 
to make a decision on your request.
