In response to your request under the Official Information Act, please find our response below:
Request
1.
The dollar amount that HealthCare NZ receives in bulk-funding from District
Health Boards by contract.
BOPDHB does not bulk fund Healthcare NZ.
2.
Confirmation that under these bulk-funding arrangements, HealthCare NZ is not
required to payback money for undelivered services.

The number of times that HealthCare NZ did not provide care to DHB clients over
65 in June 2021 because there was no support worker assigned to them. We
believe HealthCare NZ holds this information and it should be disclosed under the
Official Information Act.
Of the visits HCNZ officially notified to the DHB that two visits were reported as not
attended in June 2021 due to the inability to provide an available support worker. The
percentage of missed visits due to no support worker assigned in June 2021 based on
this information is reported as 0.0029%.
