I refer to your email message of 27 May 2021 in which you ask for the following information under the 
Official Information Act 1982.   
“Can you please provide a copy of the content of the NZ Dating website chat  Reginald Korau 
engaged in whilst a teacher at Napier Boys High.” 

I have assumed you are referring to matters discussed in the Disciplinary Tribunal decision found here

The information you have requested was compiled as evidence for the Complaints Assessment 
Committee (CAC).  We have carefully considered the information held in our system and assessed its 
release under the Official Information Act.  We have concluded that it is unable to be provided to you on 
the basis that information compiled for the CAC is inherently private, and subject to confidentiality.    
 
It is important that you understand that CAC proceedings are confidential due to the operation of Rule 
64 of the Teaching Council Rules 2016. This provides, as follows:
