Archives New Zealand began to transfer born-digital material into the Government Digital 
Archive in 2009. Please see the table at Appendix A, which sets out each born-digital 
transfer to date, the accession number, transferring agency, volume of records and period 
for which the records relate. 
Agencies that wish to transfer born-digital records to Archives New Zealand can follow the 
process set out on our website: https://archives.govt.nz/manage-information/how-to-
