Decision on your request for official information 
Thank you for your follow up request under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the 
Ministry of Health (the Ministry) on 10 May 2021 for: 
“...all internal communications relating to the processing of my request.” 
The Ministry has identified emails and documents within the scope of your request and has 
decided to grant your request. However, more time is required to administratively process 
the information for release. This wil  include information regarding the Ministry’s decision to 
revise withholding all information pertaining to your request of 13 April 2021 (H202104400 
refers). 
The Ministry anticipates to provide this information to you by 28 July 2021 with some 
information withheld or refused under the following sections of the Act: 
• s6(a), as its release would likely prejudice the international relations of the
Government of New Zealand;
• s(6)(b)(i), as its release would prejudice information entrusted to the Government of
New Zealand from another Government or agency;
• s9(2)(a), to protect the privacy of natural persons,
• s9(2)(g)(i), to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the free and
frank expression of opinions by or between employees of any public service agency;
and
• s18(e), as the information requested does not exist.
The Ministry accepts we have not met the timeliness requirements required by the Act. The 
delay has been a result of capacity issues and we apologise for any inconvenience this may 
have caused. 
Under section 28(3) of the Act you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review any
