Official Information Act request relating to funding of the new Implementation Unit
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 4 May 2021.
You requested:
“…all information regarding the funding of the new Governmental Implementation
Unit,
being
run
by
Deputy
Prime
Minister
Grant
Robertson.
Specifically, what costs on the taxpayer were involved in the creation of this unit,
and the costs that wil continue to be associated with this unit.”
Funding information for the new Implementation Unit has been released as part of Budget
2021 and is publicly available on the Treasury website:
https://www.treasury.govt.nz/sites/default/files/2021-05/b21-wellbeing-budget.pdf Accordingly, I am refusing your request under section 18(d) of the Act, on the basis that “the
information requested is or will soon be publicly available”.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
We do not intend to publish this response on the Department of the Prime Minister and
Cabinet’s website.
