Re: Waiheke Local Board meetings 
I refer to your emails dated 7 November 2010 and 1 January 2011, which we received on 5 
January 2011, requesting information about Waiheke Local Board meetings. 
You have requested a list of the activities the Waiheke Local was involved in before its first 
business meeting on 7 December 2010. 
The Waiheke Local Board had one workshop prior to the first business meeting and all 
members were invited to this workshop.  It covered the draft local board agreements and 
plans, draft budgets, civil defence and the Oneroa Service Centre and library project.  The 
draft local board agreements and plans and draft budgets items were covered by staff from 
the Local Board Services Department.  The civil defence item was covered by the Council’s 
Civil Defence Department and the Oneroa Service Centre and library project by the Libraries 
At this time there is nothing further planned for the Waiheke Local Board by way of training 
sessions, civil defence meetings or documents to be provided to the board for research.
