Re: Official Information Act request -  Vulnerable Persons Register 
I refer to your official information request dated 5 March which was partially transferred to us 
from the Department of Internal Affairs on 11 March for information about the Vulnerable 
Persons Register. 
We have transferred questions 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 of your request to the Ministry of Health. Part 
of the information to which your request relates, namely, who maintains and collates the 
register and the costs of maintaining it are managed by CASA, which is funded by the Ministry 
of Health to provide a community suicide postvention response service. 
These aspects of your request are not held by us but are believed to be more closely connected 
with the functions of the Ministry of Health. In these circumstances, we are required by section 
14 of the Official Information Act to transfer your request. 
You will hear further from the Ministry of Health concerning those parts of your request. 
Waitemata DHB will respond to questions 5 and 10 of your request.
