We  refer to your request for official information dated 7 March 2021 regarding further funding 
clarification on roadway kerb and channel work. This follows our response to your earlier questions 
regarding funding for weed and vegetation control dated 28 January 2021.  
Auckland Transport confirms: 
1.
That there is no  NZTA funding available for the exclusion item of Work Category 121  i.e.
maintenance of the area between the kerb and the road reserve boundary in the urban area;
and
2. There is no other work category that allows for funding for this exclusion.
We trust the above information has addressed the matters raised however, should you believe that 
we have not responded appropriately to your request, you have the right in accordance with section 
27(3) of the LGOIMA to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman to seek an investigation 
and review in regard to this matter.
