I refer to your email of 21 December 2020 in which you request the following under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (OIA): 
 
“I am writing under the Official Information Act to request any documents relating to the 
UN resolution A/RES/75/169 "Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other 
practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, 
xenophobia and related intolerance" and New Zealand's vote on the resolutions at the 
United Nations in December 2020.”  
 
This letter advises that, due to the necessity for further consultation and review, we will 
need to extend the deadline for responding to your request under subsection 15A(1)(b), by 
20 working days, to 10 March 2021. We are, however, hopeful that we will be able to 
provide you with a response sooner. 
 
You have the right under section 28(3) of the OIA to seek a review of this response by the 
Ombudsman.
