I would like to request a data on a monthly basis the no. of onshore resident visa applications lodged up to 31.03.2020 that are yet to be allocated to case officers.

I also would like to request a data on the no. of applications that were allocated weekly to case officers from August 2020 to the date you respond to this request showing the lodgement date of each application, categorised as to priority and non-priority queue.

Please note that the days from 24 December 2020 to 17 January 2021
(inclusive) are defined as non- working days in the Act and are not
counted in the calculation for the response due date. This will affect the
time period for responding to your request.

 

Your request is being processed in accordance with the Act and a response
will be sent to you in due course.

 

Please note, due to ongoing COVID-19 response work, requests are currently
being triaged and those relating to Covid-19 processed as a priority.
Remaining requests are being assessed as per the Ombudsman’s guidance
(which can be found here:

and processed accordingly.

Thank you for your email of 1 December 2020 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the OIA), the following information:

 

“I would like to request a data on a monthly basis the no. of onshore
resident visa applications lodged up to 31.03.2020 that are yet to be
allocated to case officers.

 

I also would like to request a data on the no. of applications that were

Under Section 12 of The OIA, requests can only be made by; Any person,
being-

(a) a New Zealand citizen; or

(b) a permanent resident of New Zealand; or

(c) a person who is in New Zealand; or

(d) a body corporate which is incorporated in New Zealand; or

(e) a body corporate which is incorporated outside of new Zealand but
which has a place of business in New Zealand,

may request a department or Minister of the Crown or organisation to make
available to him or it any specified official information.

 

From the limited information you have provided in your request it is
unclear that you are eligible to make an OIA request. Before we can
proceed with your request you will need to provide evidence that you are
eligible to make a request.  Proof of eligibility can be provided
confidentially to me via email which is shown in the attached file.

 

Please provide a response with evidence by 9 December 2020.  If no
response is received by this date, your request will be closed and
considered withdrawn on the basis that you are not eligible to make a
request under section 12 of the OIA.

Hi there,

 

Just a friendly reminder that if no response is received to my below email
by COB Thursday 17 December 2020 your OIA will be closed off and
considered withdrawn on the basis that you are not eligible to make a
request under section 12 of the OIA.

 

Any request made after 17 December 2020 will need to be logged as a new
