Hi Michael
Here goes this problem again with our registrations via our online services.
We are wanting to start our auto topups on metrocards but are still experiencing people registering incorrect cards and then topping them up.
What will happen if they register someone’s card and setup an automatic topup and don’t tell us it’s not going on to their card for a few weeks when they receive their credit card bill?
I need to make the registration more sound. I need to have an additional check in place.
As I have suggested before I need the DOB to flow back into the database from the Presale machine.
Then when registering online a check needs to be performed prior to allowing the person to register.
Scenario 1 – Customer tries to register before the data has transferred back to the database.
When the customer uses the website and enters their card number it is displayed that the system requires 24 hours from purchase date to allow card registration to be completed. If it is over 24 hours please contact … (Possibly Ecan or place card sold)
ECan will then check to see if the card has flowed through correctly.
Scenario 2 – Customer tries to register after the data has transferred back to the database, but with incorrect DOB
When the customer uses the website and enters their card number and enters an incorrect DOB according to the record held in the database it is displayed that the incorrect DOB has been entered please check the card number and/or contact ECan to check the details are correct.
ECan will then check to see if the DOB has been entered correctly. (May need to wait for application or customer may need to provide proof to adjust – Procedure to be decided upon)
Scenario 3 – Customer tries to register after the data has transferred back to the database, with correct DOB
When the customer uses the website and enters their card number and enters the correct DOB according to the record held in the database, registration can occur normally.
This flowback of DOB from the Presale machines to the database will stop people entering incorrect card numbers when registering as they will not know the DOB
<![if !supportLists]>1 <![endif]>Need the DOB to flow back from the EVENDpc
<![if !supportLists]>2 <![endif]>Need Ionata to amend the system to check for the DOB before registration is allowed
After this has been fixed we can setup the auto online topups that IONATA.
Next I would then like to look at getting the web site & the INIT system to handle multiple cards on a contract when using online facilities as we have an annual problem with Cando cards.
