INFORMATION REQUEST – Community and/or Local Boards
We write in response to your email dated 29 April 2020 in which you requested the following
information:
· Have there been any discussions or inquiries at council into the establishment
of Community and/or Local Boards since October 2019.
We have considered your request in accordance with the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (“LGOIMA”) and respond as follows.
·  We confirm that there have been no discussions or considerations into Community
Boards in the past twelve months. The next review is in 2021, establishment of
community boards will be considered at this point as we are obliged to do under the
Local Electoral Act 2001.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
