HUI FOR TE WHARE KAKANO 4th May 2011. 
 
Present: Hana, Sue Caltaux, Charlene, Tania, Cara and Geraldine.

1.  Karakia. Hana thanks everyone for coming tonight.  
 
2.  Working Bee: Hana thanks Cherie, Geraldine, Marcus, Tania, Cara and Ari for 
helping out with the working bee. The children are really enjoying have their own 
desk and Hana is finding it is a much easier to move children if it becomes 
necessary.  
 
3.  Fundraising: Hana has decided that we should waive fundraising as there is only 
Hana to manage this. Unfortunately the two delegated people have not been back 
to meet with Hana and therefore nothing has been organised for next week. It is 
now too late. Therefore individual parents will have to save for their own children.  
 
  Ongoing concerns about why GST is being paid on fundraising. This needs to be 
followed up with Rowena and Sean. 
 
  Another concern is if $5.00 is paid into the school account to go towards the trip is 
that still $5.00 at the end of the financial month / year or is the total minus GST. 
Sue will follow both these matters up and ask for some written information for the 
Whanau.  
 
4.  General Business:  
  Charlene asked about what was to happen to the sausages left over from previous 
fundraising. Hana suggested that the food could be used for the Matariki 
Celebrations. The money gathered from this school wide celebration will purchase 
a new guitar cover for Whaea Mihi.
