Thank you for your email on 08 March 2020, requesting the fol owing information under the Official Information 
Act 1982 (the OIA): 
 
 I would like to know the answers to the fol owing questions regarding partnership visas 
being processed at the Hamilton INZ branch: 
a. How many partnership visa applications are currently pending (i.e. yet to be allocated to 
a case manager)? 
b. The last application to be allocated to a case manager was submitted to INZ on what 
date? 
c. How many applications were assigned to case managers in the month of January 2020? 
d. How many applications were assigned to case managers in the month of February 2020? 
 
We have interpreted Part B of your request to be for the date the oldest visa application under the partnership 
category to be allocated to a case officer in the INZ Hamilton office was submitted to INZ. 
 
Our response 
Part A: 
As at 14 March 2020, there were a total of 7,337 unallocated resident and work visa applications under the 
partnership category in the Immigration New Zealand (INZ) Hamilton office. 
 
Part B: 
As at 17 March 2020, the oldest visa application under the partnership category to be al ocated to a case officer 
in the INZ Hamilton office was submitted to INZ on 01 October 2019. 
 
Part C & D: 
Please see table below showing the number of visa applications in the INZ Hamilton office that were assigned to 
a case officer in January and February 2020:
