Dear Julie Chambers
Official Information Act request relating to payments received by DPMC from government
organisations
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 5 March 2020. You
requested:
“Please list the names of government organisations (Ministries, departments, Crown Entities
and other government organisations) that paid/provided money to the DPMC during each of
the following financial years - 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19.”
Work is well underway in response to your request, however some of the officials at the Department
of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) with responsibility for the information you have requested
are involved in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as are some of the other agencies DPMC
has been consulting with on your request. Unfortunately, in light of these circumstances, DPMC is not
able to complete your request within the original time limit. Accordingly, I have decided under section
15A of the Act to extend the time limit for deciding on your request by an additional 30 working days,
to 19 May 2020. The additional time is to complete the remaining consultations necessary before a
final decision can be made on your request. Please be assured, if at all possible, DPMC will respond
to your request sooner than the extension given here.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under section 28(3)
of the Official Information Act.
Yours sincerely
Sarah Corbett
