Dear Beth,
I refer to your request received by the Ministry on 18 February 2020 requesting the following
information from Immigration New Zealand (“INZ”):
Could you please provide a table of the following information
1) From 1 January 2019 - Present could you please provide information as to how many
Residents have been made liable under the following provisions of the Immigration Act
Section 155 - 156 - 157 - 158 - 159 - 160 - 161 - 162 - 163
If possible could it please be separated for each specific part of the Act example

156 - 3
2) From 1 January 2019 - Present could you indicate how many Residents have actually
been deported from New Zealand and if available, which provision made them liable in the
first place
