We refer to your request for official information dated 4 May 2019 related to the Quay Street project 
communications between Auckland Transport and Ports of Auckland for the past six months.  
 
We understand on 8 May 2019 you refined your request to the last three months of communications between 
Auckland Transport and Ports of Auckland related to the Quay Street project. 
 
Some sections of the provided documentation have been redacted or withheld. These are being withheld 
under: 
-  Section 7(2)(a) of the Act, as withholding the information is necessary to protect the privacy of natural 
persons, including that of deceased natural persons 
-  The communications between AT’s Project Team and AT’s Legal Services team is withheld under 
section 7(2)(g) of the LGOIMA as the withholding of the information is necessary to maintain legal 
professional privilege. 
-  Section 7(2)(f) of the LGOIMA to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the free and 
frank expression of opinions by or between or to members or officers or employees of any local 
authority.
