Thank you for email of 15 April 2024 to the Department of Corrections – Ara Poutama 
Aotearoa, requesting information about our approved medal mounting vendors. Your 
request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
You requested: 
 
May I kindly seek if you have an Approved Medal Mounting Vendor List? if so, can 
you supply the list. If not, how is the medal mounting done for your personnel. 
 
When required, we use a company called Winterstoke (1998) Ltd. for all our NZ Prison 
Medal requirements. As this is a service we require rarely, Winterstoke is our only vendor at 
this time.  
 
Please note that this response may be published on Corrections’ website. Typically, 
responses are published quarterly, or as otherwise determined. Your personal information 
including name and contact details will be removed for publication.
